Our students have the opportunity to learn and work in our on-campus garden, working alongside Ohio State Extension, Greene County master gardeners and learning a new skill. They learn to organize, plot, plan, and grow food, developing menus and healthy meal ideas in the process.
Gardening
Students at Fairborn Digital Academy work with our School Spirit Officer to beautify the school, break from the classroom, get their creative juices flowing, and break out of their headspace. We know from experience when students have the opportunity for brain breaks and new ideas, they achieve more and are happier in the classroom as well.
Art
We go beyond the classroom by introducing and educating students with those skills we wish we all learned in high school. Fairborn Digital Academy students are better prepared to meet the challenges life throws at them before they even graduate, helping them to stay on track and motivated no matter what curve balls come their way.
Life Skills
Students have access to our newly installed full kitchen and laundry room appliances, so hunger or clean clothes are never a cause for embarrassment or an obstacle to learning.
