Fairborn Digital Academy remains dedicated to protecting all of our students from bullying, hazing, and other destructive behaviors.

What is bullying?

Bullying is an intentional written, verbal, or physical act that a student has exhibited toward another particular student more than once. The behavior causes both mental or physical harm to the other student. It is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for the other student.

What is hazing?

Hazing is using intimidation or harassment to force a student to do any act that creates a substantial risk to himself or others.

No students are permitted to plan, encourage, or engage in any hazing or bullying. All employees at Fairborn Digital Academy are required to stop hazing or bullying incidents immediately and report it to the principal. The principal administers the appropriate discipline. Last year, Fairborn Digital Academy had one episode of a student bullying another. The behavior stopped and the incident resolved satisfactorily.

It is illegal to retaliate against an employee or student because he/she files a grievance or assists in an investigation regarding hazing or bullying.
